I have been using my own real salmon roe custom cured for over 20 years. Then I saw these EZ Eggz at a Sportsman show, and decided to give them a try.
I am a changed person. These EZ Eggz work as well as the best cured natural salmon eggs out there. The difference is they don't loose their color, and they stay on the hook much better. I just clip the string into pairs of eggs, and insert a pair or more into my egg loop tied hooks. Add a little yarn, and you have a steelhead catching system that is unparalleled in drift fishing.
I prefer the natural color, but I'm sure the other colors work just as well in the right situation.
