These rods eliminate stress points and broken guides by doing away with conventional rod guides. Instead the line runs directly through the graphite rod composite blank creating a perfect fighting arch. Great for fishing bottom bouncers, trolling crankbaits and downrigging. Convenient two-piece design fits in your boat's rod locker. Includes line threader.

The inner flow design allows the line to stay out of the way of the lure or other projections eliminating time consuming unhooking and untangling of lines and lures. Great feel and response.

I received this pole as a gift for buying a reel a couple of years ago. It sat as a spare till my main rod broke. At first this rod was great . No line to hang up when throwing it up front, out of the way. We were fishing Coho salmon off of the west coast of Vancouver Island using down riggers at 30 to 70 feet. Sometimes you pull through a lot of jellyfish and they come up on your line. Mostly you shake them off but after a while you get these grey putty like globs on your line. Odd but just something to clean off at the end of the day. At least not when the fishing gets hot. These globs however clogged the inside of the rod and restricted the line and would not clear. Annoying until I noticed little shreds on my mono. When I looked closer It was all the way in to the spool . I had to respool with fresh line and find a light weight halibut pole to finish the day. Someone told me that jellyfish have small teeth and that was what was shredding the line. Who knows? I know now this pole is no good in that situation . Other than that the pole was great. Ninety nine % of my fishing will be around those conditions so the pole became a curtain rod.

Have been out fishing for walley, got good ones and some 5 to 10 pound northen pike. Had no trouble bringing them in. Rod shows very good action.
