I trolled with this reel using 5 colors of lead core and they are the best trolling reels on the market. Great clutch and a very accurate line countser. Being a tournament walleye angler this reel puts the big ones in the boat.

The Daiwa Sealine Linecounter Trolling Reel are quality product more than capable of handling large walleye. The line counters are accurate. The reel is designed for comfort and ease of use. Of the various line counter reel I've used, the Diawa Sealine Lincounter Trolling Reel is by far my top choice

Daiwa Sealine SG27LC

I bought 5 of these reels just over a year ago for my new boat because I had 12 of the Daiwa SG47LC reels on a previous boat for over 10 yrs and never had a problem with any of them. I can't say that about these 17s, however. I have had the pinion gears fail in two ot the reels that are only 14 months old, and just out of warranty, for a 40% failure rate. I do not recommend these reels.
