Trol-A-Matic Trolling Plate

This revolutionary trolling device allows you to operate your motor at a wide range of speeds from very slow to wide-open. Plus, it's completely automatic and swings up as speed is increased, so there is absolutely no interference. Constructed of fiberglass-filled nylon, it will not rust or corrode. Works on most outboards or inboard out-drives from 50 hp on up. Mounts in just minutes. Not for use with Volvo out-drives.

Installed in 15 minutes on a 2003 Bass Tracker with a Mercury 50. Slowed boat down to .05 by G.P.S. Actually had to throttle motor up because it was so slow. Did not notice any top end speed lost. Boat steers a little different but only at real slow speed and not a big deal. Love the auto feature with nothing to remember to do.

When we looked at where the holes were to be drilled it was only about 1/16 0f an inch from the edge. After getting something figured out we found out the prop hit the unit. I have a 70hp Evenrude.

I WISH THIS WOULD HAVE FIT MY MOTOR.. I HAVE A FORCE 50 AND
. THE LOWER UNITS ON THEM RUN REAL SMALL. THE TROLLAMATIC WAS WAY TO BIG FOR IT. I WISH THEY MADE ONE A LITTLE SMALLER.

Mounted this on my etec just had to set it back a bit to clear the steering tab. Loss of steering is minnimal but I went from 3 mph down to 0.7 mph if needed. Easy install, automatic and it works.
