I waited until second trip until writing this review, because I wanted to make sure the obvious improvement during the first trip wasn't a fluke. It was taking forever for my 15' Smokercraft with 50 hp Suzuki to get on plane, especially when we had three people aboard. Now it's almost immediate, even running upriver. I believe there may be a slight loss in top speed, but the ease in reaching top speed more than makes up for that. Also unquestionably improves boat control and steering. Installed very easily, and I'm all thumbs. Probably the best addition I have purchased for my boat. Highly recommended.

I purchased this hydrofoil for my I/O Larson. The first time it was on it broke my cavitation plate ($300 repair). Moreover, as I attempted to contact the company that made it because they clam \u201csatisfaction guaranteed\u201d and \u201cone year warranty\u201d- nothing was done. Not only do I feel that this is a very poor product, it is also a company that will not offer any customer service nor will it stand behind their claims. I would strongly suggest NOT buying this product!

I bought this because i couldn't get my Legend 18 Xcaliber with 115hp Merc Fourstroke to come out of the hole. It used to take about 150'. After the installation of this hydrofoil, the bow barely lifts and it's on plane. Installation was easy, just line it up on the cavitation plate, drill the holes, and bolt it on. I don't know why the manufacturers don't put these on standard from the factory. AWESOME BUY!!!
