Preformance Improvement

I have had the SE sport on two bass boats and found it to be an excellent for increased speed and more importantly boat handling and stability. The foil and now the clip completely changed and improved the hole shoot on both my Astroglass and my Stratos. A friend recommended the new clip to me even though I already had drilled holes for the SE Sport.

To my surprise, the clip moved the hydrofoil backwards on the motor and improved the hole shoot even more and also, it increased the speed and even further enhanced the boats handling especially from mid-range to the over 60 mph range.
With these two products, the Stratos will make a 90 degree turn at over 60 mph and stay on plane with solid steering.

I have previously used another brand and it does not hold a candle to these products.

I wish cabelas would of read the directions for sport clip. on the first line of the directions it says do not use this product if you do not have a bump( something like that ) underneath your cavation plate, which the center of the sport clip needs to hold it in place.

I HAVE A 150HP YAMAHA 4 STROKE AND THE CLIP DOES NOT FIT CORRECTLY AND IT BROKE WITH PRESSURE FROM MY HANDS TRYING TO FIT IT. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THIS CLIP WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE THE FORCES OF WATER PRESSURE OVER TIME WITH THIS ASSEMBLY. I DID HOWEVER DRILL THE SE 300 DIRECTLY TO MOTOR AND IT WORKS WELL WITH PULLING SKIERS AND WAKE BOARDS. I HAVE MY PROPED WITH A 17 PITCH AND I DO STILL GET SOME PROP WASHOUT WITH TIGHT TURNS UNLESS THE TRIM IS ON THE MONEY TO GET THE BOAT BANKED JUST RIGHT. IF YOU ARE DEAD SET AGAINST DRILLING INTO YOUR ENGINE GET THE XP.

Directions state for an outboard or stern drive and do not give a max HP. I have a 5.0 Mercruiser and figured I would give it a try. Installation was easy. Attaching the SE300 Hydrofoil was a breeze also. Took about 5 minutes at the lake and lost the clip and hydrofoil. An expensive lesson on my part. The company should do research and come up with a max HP for this product. I give it two stars because I believe it will work on the lower HP outboards but would not recommend to anyone with higher HP.
