Pro-Troll Roto Chip Baitholder

The Roto Chip baitholder keeps your prepared bait or strip secured and boasts the added attraction of Pro-Troll's eChip. The electronic module sends out impulses which mimic the nerve discharge of fleeing baitfish. Harness comes with two snelled hooks.

    Two hooks vs. one

    I liked the spin on the troller. It didn't seem to do well on a slower troll. Couple of times I had to re-adjust the clip to get the bait to spin. Have scored a couple of 'keeper' hits on the single hook set up, but never the double hook. Even though the double hooks often ended up impailing the bait itself, I'm thinking if it got a hit, the fish would hook. Wondering if the double hooks mess with the presentation..........gave it three stars - need more fish time to figure it out.

    A good baithead for the price, but not the most productive I've ever used. Still catches lots of fish though, and a nice design that doesn't need toothpicks like some of the others.

    I rig this lure with fresh lake herring and it is deadly on chinook salmon and lake trout. No need for live bait anymore.
