This lure produces even between productive seasons on the Queen of American Lakes, Lake George,NY. I was catching fish that were not feeding, with nothing in their bellies. Usually lake trout caught in this fantastic clear water lake are full of smelt,this is not true between seasons before significant upper layer water warm-up. Even in this difficult time, the g-fly with e-chip produced fish and solid strikes. I can't wait to get back on the water! Good fishing!!

Yeah, kinda. Looking back at my fish logs over the last two years, I see approximately 450 lake trout caught on these lures....far more than any other product. Green Glow, Blue Boy, White Glow, Silver Sparkle at the hot numbers. Others may work also, but if you're getting strikes on average of every 7 minutes, then why change.
One thing I wish they would change is the hooks. I routinely re-rig my flies with quality hooks from Gamagatsu (sp?) one size larger to reduce the number of fish that throw the hook in the middle of the fight.
