These are great when they work. We've had a few that don't light up. Buit when they work, you'll catch fish. They could use an improvement with the battery life. Way to short Mine never come close to 400 hours, or withstand the stress of a 20# king chewing on them.
But I keep buying them because they catch fish. But would like to see a version that can be recharged.
I was pretty excited to try this lure. I have used J plugs for trolling for Lake Trout for a while with fair success. I put this on and trolled an area that I have always had strikes. My depth was the same as always. Trolled for 2 hours and nothing. I pulled it up and it was filled with water (not sure if that was supposed to happen or not) which means with the added water weight it was most likely trolling deeper than I wanted. Rather than try to figure out what I needed to do to get it where I wanted it, I put on a regular plug, same size and color and caught 3 nice ones in the next hour. So, the new plug will go back in my box for me to try at another time.
