Grand Slam Needlefish Bucktails

Grand Slam Bucktails have proven to be deadly for salmon and lake trout from Alaska to California to the Great Lakes. They're designed to be trolled behind a flasher or a dodger. The durable epoxy head has an iridescent, mother of pearl finish and will stand up to lots of abuse from angry fish. The slim Needlefish body is made of FisHair and Crystal Flash to match the sheen of the head. Tied on .080" tubing. All patterns glow in the dark.

4 INCH BUCKTAIL

I launch out of the Homer,Ak. harbor and troll for kings and silvers. Most of the time the kings are feeding on needle fish and herring. In the winter when those bait fish are in smaller numbers, the kings will go to the bottom and feed on worms. The 4 inch bucktail glows and if you are trolling deep they pick it up easily especially if you use a glowing flasher or dodger. I rig a treble hook to be about a 1/4 inch from the end of the bucktail and put on a small piece of herring skin for scent. Works great all year long.
