With over 300 square miles of private forest, mountains and plains, this vast estancia located between 2,500-ft to 3,500-ft provides some of the very best hunting in all of Argentina. Situated at the base of the towering Andes Mountain range and in the Lake District of Patagonia, this huge property includes some 180,000 acres of free-range hunting for trophy red stag, European wild boar, puma and California Valley quail (quail season opens in May), as well as another 25,000 acres of high-fenced area. The estancia's reputation as a one-of-a-kind hunting destination is established by the outstanding red deer, with their majestic antlers, thick manes and massive body size. Most of the stag hunting here is fair chase and conducted on horseback throughout the 180,000 acres of the estancia's free-range terrain. These fair chase hunts have maintained a success rate of 100%, with a solid average of silver medal trophy stags. Clients with physical limitations can be easily accommodated within the game refuge, which also serves as a source to further enhance the breeding of their wild red deer stock. While known for their fantastic red deer hunting, the hunting for European wild boar and wild quail is also excellent. The accommodations are absolutely top-notch, with a recently restored main ranch house and two very comfortable guest homes. Such new-world touches like DirecTV, Wi-Fi, direct-dial phones, wood-paneled living rooms with fireplaces and commercial laundry service have been put into place for the comfort of the estancia's guests. And let's not forget gourmet meals, which are prepared by a rotation of Argentina's top professional chefs, featuring seasonal specialties of both traditional Argentine and international fare. Nonhunters are very welcome here, and a variety of guest ranching activities are available for them to enjoy.
