i carry a lot of stuff into the woods when i hunt : climer - backpack edc. the last thing i need is more weight. and this thing is adding a lot more weight. [no thanks]

I was excited when I bought this product but was quickly disappointed upon arrival and use. First the hoist is heavy (2x strapper). Second, the rope broke off from the clip the first time I used it dropping my bow 10' to the ground. I did like the retraction but not at the expense of my equipment. Good luck and go with the Strapper!

Just now buying the second one; retractable cord avoids tangles going up and down. Also eliminates the tangles that occur, from loose cords, in a backpack (& have to be UN-tangled in the dark). I attched some velcro-felt to the sides to reduce/avoid noise from the lift hitting the stand and "things" hitting the lift. Great product
