First, it does cover a large two-man ladder-stand relatively well. That's the only positivet. Picture this, you are in your stand and need the umbrella high enough for you to stand under it and not have it impede your field of view or (if you're lucky) hinder a shot. In order to do this it needs to be approx. 7' above the stand platform. The attaching part is 16" and extends up from the umbrella, you need to attach this to/around the tree (reach around and fasten tightly) and then attach the center strap from the top of the attaching piece to the top side/center of the umbrella, while trying to reach around and over the 4' umbrella, it needs to be deployed/opened before attaching, as its design prohibits opening in place. You are attempting all this while standing on the seat approx. 20+ feet above the ground. The side anchor sraps (to be effective) need to come straight down from the middle of the sides or angle forward to withstand brisk windgusts. This compromises your ability for an unimpeded swing shot. In addition, it also leaks at the seams/stiching which are directly above you, I have two of them and am disappointed. The umbrella this one replaced (in the literature from the manufacture) was far superior, functional, easier to deploy, and retract when not needed.

Very hard to install strap above umbrella...
The instructions leave out alot for you figure on your own.

I installed this umbrella and with the restraining straps held up to strong winds on rainy days. I belong to a club and can leave umbrella up for the season, if I had to remove and install each time I hunt I would'nt bother, takes a little while to get it adjusted correctly I would reccomend this product
