The 2nd Man Package makes setting up your ladder stand so easy, it’s like having a second man along to lend a hand. Its simple five-step process makes it simple for one man to set up ladder stands of any size. The package includes a 600-lb. winch and winch bracket, ground swivel pegs, a 25-ft. winch strap and a treestand tether strap – everything you need to position and set up a ladder stand by yourself.  It’s also great for fastening the top section of your ladder stand for extra security and installing hang-on stands. It doubles as a hoist for butchering game and hauling game up steep embankments, too.

The ladder stand 2nd Man is not designed to be your only means of securing the stand to the tree. Follow all of your treestand manufacturer’s guidelines and safety recommendations when securing the ladder stand to the tree.

As I've grown older and more cautious I've changed from using hang-on stands to all ladder stands.
The Ladder Stand 2nd Man is amazing. My cousin and I set up 5 or 6 ladder stand every year and with the help of this great new item, this past year I set them all by myself and in about half the time.
The quality of the unit seems to be right in line with the cost which is very good and it's so easy to use it's just plain silly that it hadn't been thought of before. Kudo's to .30-06 Outdoors for bringing this great piece of gear to the market.
An outfitter in southern Ohio told me about these and he said that it cut his set up time in half too.
Definately two thumbs up for this awesome product!

I purchased the 2nd man, took home to assemble, the handle would not attach to the crank due to threads were bad on stud, the nut was stripped on the bolt that holds
the ratchet reverse, forward keeper, the black swivel handle screws into the metal handle that only has maybe two threads. I do a lot of mechanical work so I have tools to fix things. I had to rethread the stud, replace the ratchet bolt with a stronger grade 5 bolt, weld the black swivel handle to the crank handle. Took to the field to hang a
stand with my hunting buddy. It works good except the metal that attaches to the tree is too thin and you think it is going to bend. In summary I believe it is very very poor quality, very cheaply made and will not work on a 20 ft stand without assistance. I believe they will work on a 15 ft just fine. These things are pricey so for what they cost they could make a strong quality product.
Very disappointed.
