Failed to Set Combination

I followed the included instructions perfectly, yet the lock did not set to the correct combination. Instead it got stuck in a completely unknown state where the factory default 0-0-0-0 combination would not open it, and the combination I had set would not open it either. Thus the lock was rendered completely worthless.
