Amazing Trolling Motor!

I hunt small swamps off the sides of the backroads down here in SC. This motor pushes my 9ft bass hunter easily with three heavyset people in it. I broke my stock prop but easily installed a new Weedless Wedge on the motor and plan on switching to the weedless wedge two soon. The Weedless wedge I have now cuts through weeds very well but the motor does catch long viny weeds very well. Overall, Minn Kota knocked it out of the park with this motor!

I got this for Fathers Day and it moves my 10 john-boat around easily with two people. If you drop her down in 5th gear it'll leave a nice wake behind the boat but I mostly use reverse speeds 1-3 when I'm fishing the banks for bass. I've went through some pretty thick millfoil too and the prop chopped right through it with ease. It also came with a little battery meter for "free" too. Excellent gift just wish I had more time to use it.

Very nice motor and exceeds my expectations for the price. Smooth, quiet and pushed my 14ft Jon boat with gear, outboard, two adults and two kids with no effort. The motor is somewhat awkward to mount on my particular Jon Boat due to the rounded top edges on my boat but easily fixed with some wood between the mount screws and transom walls. 5 speeds forward is nice, 3 speeds in reverse but would have been nice to also have 5 speeds in reverse. Very happy with this.

Great Motor

I use this on my 16ft bass boat and it moves it through the water very well. I rigged this up to be used on the bow. The 5 forward speeds are great for trolling and getting in and out of cover. The reverse gears are useless and they should just do away with them. This motor does not take much battery to operate and kicks weeds off very easy. Great motor for the price.
