Worked for a few days
Date:
My TruthCam now only works in very bright light at a range of 2 or 3 feet. In other words it's useless! Wasted my money on what I believed to be a quality name brand product. Primos will no longer be on my list of quality products.

Expected much better from Primos Boys
Date:
First, I have to say that the pictures that were taken were not bad. However, if the camera constantly shuts off after repeated reboots and with always fresh batteries, what's the point of good pictures if it never wants to stay on! Coming from Primos and all the time in the field with their prostaff I thought this product would have had all the bugs out of it. Disappointed.

As Advertised!
Date:
Received this camera for Christmas 2011 from my wife. I requested one from the Primos Line as a friend has the 3.5 and has been very satisfied and I liked the pictures he was getting. I have been very satisfied with how the camera has performed since then. The camera was placed out in mid January and has probably taken at least 2000 pictures and battery life is still good with Duracells. The pictures are of the quality you would expect out of this price range. With fast movement the images are blurred, but with no movement or slow movement they are very good quality. The daylight pictures have very good detail and I have been very impressed with the range the camera shows in picking up movement and taking pictures. For the price I don't believe you will find a better option. It has also stood up to any weather from heavy snow storms, wind, rain, hail, and whatever Michigan has thrown at us the last several months.
However, I would be remiss to say the camera is perfect. The cons I am about to list will be the same for any camera in this price category. The deer will see and react to the Infrared, I have numerous photos of them staring at the camera, crouching, and springing away. I am going to experiment with hanging it higher at a downward angle as I've seen where it is harder for them to detect. Coyotes are especially aware of it and although I have several photos, nearly all of them are of the yotes reacting to the flash. There is some shutter noise, however, I have no daylight images that show reactions to the camera. The camera is a bit bulky in size, but that has not limited it's performance. The three shot burst does work, but often the first photo will show the "target" and the next two shots will be blank. It appears the burst is a bit slow, I will be experimenting with a faster recording SD card and see if that helps. I have not used the video feature yet and cannot comment on that feature.
Overall this camera has performed exactly as advertised, was very competitively priced, takes excellent day and night photos, and is very user friendly. I will probably be purchasing this model or other Primos models in the future. However, I will also be looking into higher end cameras to eliminate detection.

Don't waste your money!!

Had this camera 4 months and It died. It will not operate with an SD card installed and it's no good without one. Buy a StealthCam instead, I've had mine almost 5 years and it's still going and the picture quality is better. I regret buying this camera, it's also harder to program than a Stealth......
