Davide Pedersoli Jaeger .54-Caliber Percussion Rifle

    • A percussion-ignition version of the famous Jaeger rifle
    • A fully functional replica that’s great for hunting and target shooting
    • Beautiful walnut stock with brass accents
"Jaeger" is the German word for hunter, and so it’s no coincidence that the name is applied to this unique re-creation of the famous flintlock from the 1700s. By the middle of the 18th century, Jaeger rifles were growing in popularity across Germany and surrounding European countries.  People immigrated to America with their Jaeger rifles, and several firearm experts believe those guns played a role in the development of American long rifles such as the famous Pennsylvania and Kentucky flintlocks. The Jaeger was one of the most well-balanced and compact rifles of its time with excellent accuracy and power for a .54-caliber firearm. That’s why many converted them to percussion ignition when that technology emerged in the 1800s. Davide Pedersoli presents this fully functional replica in a way that captures the artistic beauty and craftsmanship of a fine firearm from a historic period. The sliding-lid patch box teams with a brass buttplate, trigger guard, thimbles and nose cap to complement the fine walnut stock. The 28" barrel has seven-groove rifling and a 1-in-24" rate of twist. It’s held in place by two barrel wedges and mated to a case-hardened percussion lock with double set triggers.
Overall length: 43-1/8".
