Davide Pedersoli Blue Ridge™ Percussion Rifle & Starter Kit

A Blue Ridge™ Percussion Rifle with a starter kit is the perfect way to begin shooting muzzleloaders. These precision-rifled 39" browned octagonal barrels with 1 turn in 48" (1-in-65 in .54 cal.) twist deliver exceptional precision with patched round balls, plus the .45 and .50 caliber will handle conical bullets surprisingly well. Locks are color case-hardened. Adjustable double-set triggers. Buttplate and trigger guard are polished brass. Starter kit includes: leather capper, 100 patches, 25 round balls, ball puller, patch puller, nipple wrench, ball starter, powder measure and powder flask.

Blue Ridge rifle

My wife purchased the .36cal Blue Ridge rifle for me as a Christmas present 2 years ago. It took me until now to get out and shoot it, but what a blast. Great shooting rifle; however it shot way low (4 inches or more) so the front blade had to be filed. After filing about half of the sight off it's hitting almost dead on. A little more adjusting and it will be a tack driver. I would recommend this rifle for any one looking to buy a great little squirrel rifle.

I bought the rifle for my son. After we shot the rifle, we could not dismantle the barrel for cleaning. We have emailed the manufacturer, but they have not replied with how to remove the breech plug. Cabelas says that I can return the gun, but that does not help my son.

cabela's blue ridge percussion rifle,50 cal.

i have been shooting blackpowder off and on for 40 years.started out with an older 36 cal.then went to an inline,then back to old school.this rifle is a true piece of craftsmanship,and with the 39" barrel and only 7 pouns it balance's out very well,and it's a shooting machine.it's one of the few i'v owned that shoots a round ball really well.with hornady .490 ball's,and .010 patch's and 65 grain's of pyrodex i'm shooting 2" groups at sixty yards.offhand.it also shoot's the 385 grain maxi hunters realy well.i can get 8/10 rounds before having to clean.the only complaints are,i shoot a very fine bead,so i had to take about half of the front blade off to get my shoots up,i have since ordered a long full buckhorn rear,and a tunnel front with post,and replaced the nice wooden ramrod with a fiberglass one,and got a good longer rangerod for cleaning.cabela's has done it again.thanks
