1855 Springfield Musket

The first rifle musket produced in the United States, and the first to use the accurate, warfare-revolutionizing .58-caliber mini ball. It also introduced the Maynard tape-primer system, remarkably similar to roll caps for modern toy cap pistols. This version has a nonfunctional Maynard system with opening lid and is fully compatible with standard musket caps. Oiled-walnut stock.
