Great broadhead
Date:
They are easy to sharpen. They shoot like a fieldpoint if you line up with the cock-feather.

I love this broadhead, but it does have some drawbacks, it's not sharp out of the package so you'll have to do it yourself, also the blade very susceptible to rusting, if it gets wet, you'd better get out your sharpener. But here's the good part, it's one tough broadhead, if it hits heavy bone, the bone will bust before the zwicky does. Another good thing is that as far as broadheads go, they're very cheap. But these broadheads aren't for everyone. If you don't mind putting your own edge on it, go for it

classic for a reason

I started using the Zewickeys at least about 18+ yrs ago and I would still use them!
There are MANY higher tech materials out there, however, there are very few as strong, consistent, and maintain repeatable performance.
I shoot very primitive. I use longbow, recurve and naked compound (without sights). I have been doing so for 45years. I have a very specific issue with my equipment. It MUST be martial. That is; it must feel SO NATURAL that my speed in getting off that one shot must come from as blinding speed as my old body can deliver. And that must happen from a completely still, relaxed position.
Zweicky broad-heads are solid units (for the most part) & deliver the most consistency. They are heavy & that's an issue with a longbow. Lighter heads (w/ SOME exceptions) don't have the punch to drive into flesh with the depth of a low tech bow. A Zweicky is a knife & can be sharpened AND repaired in the field.
With a compound bow with all the trimmings I imagine there would be a fair amount of competition; however the blade won't crumble in a shoulder nor will it loose it's ability to slice because you're using a single edge razor blade instead of an arrowhead. The technique of instinctive bowhunting lends itself to a flat, visually contrasting point.
Primitive hunting is very particular. Instinctive shooting is also very much part of the "hunting mindset": feeling the weight of the tip of the arrow at full draw becomes very significant when the bow is light.
There is no such thing as "muscle memory" Your muscles don't remember a thing: your mind does. A heavier broad-head has a "feel" that the mind remembers. It's very consistent. And it's only my opinion & experience - that consistency is the father of accuracy.

Suprising accuracy

I'm shooting these from a fast (320 fps) compound bow, using aluminum arrows and QuikSpin vanes. Amazingly accurate broadhead with no wind planing.
There's a good reason they have been around for so long - they work!
Missed my broadhead target, and the arrow went through the 1/2" wall of the shed behind the target. oops!
I wish the arrow fared nearly as well as the broadhead.
I switched to these because I was sick of trying to find replacement blades for my other cut-on-contact heads. I was pleasantly shocked to see them fly so nicely out of my newer set-up. I'm shaving the fletching off at 30 yards when shooting groups, and I get no "fliers". I find that amazing since I figured there would be inherent inconsistencies from the glue-on adapters.
I'll be buying another 6-pack soon. And at 1/2 the price of the other broadheads, anybody can afford these.
