Before you put this on your bow, you need to condition the leather. Use some glove oil and work it in with your thumbs. Then use some bowstring wax to weatherproof it. Work that in good with your thumbs as well. It will start looking old and used. That's the way you want it to look. Add it to your bow and your good-to-go. No worries on damaging your tips anylonger.

This product is a little difficult to install,as it's a very snug fit. However the nature of the beast dictates that it be a tight fit to prevent the bow loop
from jumping out of the groove, during the stringing process. It does that perfectly . Highly recommended for any long bow or re-curve shooters.

This little thing does exactly what its supposed to; protects the tip of your bow from daily wear and tear. Fits snugly, but like a pair of leather shoes, molds to the shape of the bow tip. There is only ONE piece in this package; it would be awkward to get another and try to put on both tips and then unstring for storage. Downgraded 1 star only because I thought it was a little overpriced.
