Unlike Flemish strings, many modern bow strings found in stores have half the number of fiber strands in the loops, and this is where most bow strings break. These Dacron Flemish strings feature the traditional twisted loop design and come in AMO lengths to fit your recurve. Order by AMO bow length. Lengths: 52", 58", 60", 62".
I've had bad luck aquiring the string for an old Bear Recurve that I bought in a yard sale in 1982 when I was 15 years old. It was repainted all cammo so you couldn't see any of the numbers. It has been in my closet for over 20 years without a string, now my son is old enough to hunt so we purchased this string and it fits perfectly and we've shot it at least 500 times practicing and it works perfect. We are very happy with this purchase.
Having used this bowstring on a Martin Jaguar (55-pound draw weight) 60" recurve with a 28" draw length (with a 29" arrow) on a number of arrows between 400 and 700 grains in weight at 25 yards, I am most pleased with its performance. I am able to get a consistent 9 to 11 inches of penetration into a dense foam target, with varying arrow weights and projectile tips (ranging from field tips to fixed-blade broadheads). When compared to a Fast Flight Spectra string, I am unable to notice much variation in arrow speed or terminal performance at this intermediate range (around 25 yards). I have not tested the string at a longer range yet. For a bowstring that costs $5 less than a Spectra Fast Flight, it still packs an incredible amount of performance. A great value\u2014and a great product\u2014for a low cost!
I hope this helps others in making a final decision about a purchase. Thanks for reading!
