My first deer blind , I hunted out of ladder stands before ,I purchased this stand to keep rain and bugs off of me , but the rain still runs through the windows down the walls and on my plywood i put on the floor and my floor is getting bad cause of rain.To get in the stand is a act of congress from the bottom with the opening in the floor being so small and trying to put riffle and bag in blind with the door hitting you in the head ,the door dont stay open, then once in the blind you need to stand against the wall to close the door then good luck finding a fold up chair the right height to see out of the window , if I knew i could take the stand down without breaking apart because i broke a piece while putting it together to try to sell it I would , But i couldnt look the person buying the stand in the face,to try t sell it to him, What i paid for that stand i couldve built one out of wood . what a waist of money.....i know next time
I purchased this elevated blind to stay out of the cold Ohio winds during deer season. I put outdoor carpet on the metal grate floor and used strips to seal between the walls and floor. I purchased additional bungee cord knobs to secure the windows as they kept blowing open in strong winds. I have used this blind 2 seasons and am very comfy with the addition of a small propane heater. Assembly was difficult for one person, even using an air tool. I found out not to tighten anything until assembly was complete. The stand pads are too small and sink into our clay soils. I dug holes and filled with stone and used re-rod thru the pads to secure. It has withstood 40/60 mph winds. The windows open quietly and game (deer/turkeys) act as if no one is around, also wide enough to manuver for a good shot. It is roomy enough for one large person ( I'm 6'2", 240 lbs) to be able to swivel on an office chair and check in all directions. The seven foot elevated stand is just high enough to see over tall grass but low enough that I can put all my gear into the blind from the ground. I am very pleased with this product.
trophy box combo arrived two days ahead of time. only took about four hours to put together alone. a little worried it would fall in a storm, but i put four auger style tie downs around it and used ratchet straps to secure. i also wish the trap door would stay open when climbing in and out, i have to keep a four foot dowl in the box to prop it open. over all though a great deal for your money.
received the box and booster. instructions were simple and it took me about 3 full hours to assemble. Booster is very sturdy and would recommend the tie-downs. i am going to buy dog tie downs with ratchet straps. all in all, i am happy and cant wait for my wife and i to be warm and cozy while hunting
