In terms of application and catching fish, this is a great lure. Very nice profile for working it very slow or bouncing on top of the water for faster retrieves. Casting is superb, cuts through the wind and flies a long way. I've caught lots of central CA stripers in the ocean and jacks/trevally around the tropics with this lure. The problem is the finish--it does not last as compared with, for example, a Rapala. After a couple times bouncing on the sandy surf or getting whacked by good sized fish, it loses it's finish. Even the hooks will scrap off the nice fish attracting finish. Short term fishing catching and castability, definitely a 5 but for durability for the price, I have to give it a 1 rating.

pros: heavy duty (you can bang them around rocks and fish can scrape the body with the hook points all they want), stock hooks and split rings are strong enough you don't need to change them out, casts well and far, stripers love them (redhead)
cons: hard to walk compared to a spook but just create a commotion and the fish loves it
