Rapala® X-Rap® SubWalk™

Darting and gliding just under the surface, the SubWalk goes where topwater lures and crankbaits can't go. By using a walk-the-dog action, it skitters less than two feet under the surface, where baitfish are often pursued. Lateral tail fin adds stability for speedy retrieves. Back VMC® SureSet® feather-tail hook grabs short-biting fish. Per each.

    I am glad to read other anglers are having success with this Rapala. However I have used it for 3 seasons with zero success. I gave it two stars only because it is a quality Rapala made lure. I own many Rapala's but this one for me is a dud.

    AWESOME LURE

    they day i bought this lure caught 5 stripers on it.
    i walked into my house i saw a blitz of stripers goin on in my back yard. it was hard to make them bite because the lure was bigger then the bait fish. i had to reel and twitch fast.
    it was clock work every day for 2 weeks at the end of july, stripers were blizting. THIS IS MY GO TO LURE.
    i want to use it in fresh water for large and small mouths

    I caught a 48 inch pike and another 42 on the clown colored 2 oz version last summer. Casts a long way and is easy to to use. Your supposed to work it slow like a glide bait but I was fishing it fast then killing it about 10 feet from the boat and twiching it.
