The spook or pup are some of the greatest top water lures out there. These lures are durable and if worked properly, will catch fish. I work them like a popper for a 20 or 30 seconds then walk the dog all the way back. Most of my hits come while "popping". Casts like a bullet.
My husband has been using the Zara spook in the local pond and finds it a very good topwater lure. He has caught several bass with it. Plans to get more.
Red&white puppy is dynamite. Freshwater or salt, can't keep enough of these in my tackle box. Largemouth in a lake ate it as it hit the water! Smallmouth loved it on a river . Stripers loved it in North Carolina inshore waters, especially on a glassy smooth morning. This my GoTo lure when I want to catch any predatory fish on top!
fun and productive surface lure for small bass. Have actually caught two bass at the same time on this lure and had a bald eagle trying to grab them from 10 feet in front of my float tube so will never forget this lure.
