For the price, this vise is wonderful. Very user friendly and reliable. It is a little on the light duty side but for the price it is understood. Also this vise is very portable.

I had been plugging along with a beginners vice for years and finally decided it was time to upgrade. I pretty much went with a mid-range vice. Once I started using it I found no reason I should ever have to upgrade again. It absolutely is so user friendly I can't believe it. I highly recommend this vice.

This is my first rotating vise and it works great for my type of tying for large flies with 1/0-4/0 hooks. The jaws hold fine for me. Great price!

My previous vise was a Cabela's Atlantic vise. It served it's purpose well. Now I have the Spider vise and I don't plan on using anything else. Especially since this vise comes with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. I have tied flies from size 26 mosquitoes to 4/0 bass flies. I tie lots of bass bugs and don't have to think twice about cinching down on the deer hair. The hooks will bend but they won't budge. It took an afternoon to get used to the vise. Now I have no problem using it.
