when i'm fly tying i like to have different scissors for cutting different materails and doing different steps in the fly making process. these scissors are just what i needed for close trimming on the fly. i wouldn't use them for cutting coarse hair off the skin but when it comes to finishing up the fly like cutting thread or straggling pieces of hair these are the scissors for the job! gets,those hard to reach pieces of unwanted hair, feathers, thread etc. i have large hands and they fit well.

Dr. Slick's slick tying scissors

At the tying bench these are my favorite scissors for fine, accurate cuts. The tips are easily placed around a single hair fiber, feather barb or thread.
The only downside is the fragile tips...don't drop them on the floor or you will ruin the tips.
