The Pedestal Base converts your standard clamp-type vise to a pedestal vise. Lets you use your vise anywhere. Will work with stems up to 3/8 inch diameter. Cork-backed bottom keeps base from marring fine furniture.

I got this to avoid having to clamp my vise to a table as I travel around. It is sturdy and can take some cranking. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Makes tying easier

I have the Blackfoot Mongoose vise, but needed some mobility for tying. I received this pedestal base as a gift along with the material collector and they are great. The base is heavy enough for tying and provides the mobility that I was looking for. Thanks Cabela's for the fast shipping that my gift received.

The base fits well with most vises and has good weight to it. It's heavy enough were it and the vise will not slid around when you are tying a fly. If you're looking for a well sized base this is the way to go.

Best Pedestal Base I've owned!

This base is far better than others I have. It is heavy enough yet not a "mooring anchor". The edges are nicely rounded off, and it has an excellent finish.It doesn't take a lot of engineering to make these, but attention to detail is evident here.
