keep your bench clean

I have had my material collector for some time now and find it an excellent way to keep my fly tying bench clean. I used to put a garbage can on the floor under my vise and I ended up with bits of material all over the floor.

Before receiving this, I had materials all over the place, but this helps to collect the trash. It is a little close to the vise, but it works fine. The feathers and thread cling to the side so I just spray a little static guard insideand it makes throw away easier.

Although not a necessity, this material catcher is one of those items that is very handy to have and makes cleanup so much easier. This particular model is large enough to cover your work area yet small enough to fit into a portable fly tying case. The nylon bag will collapse/fold flat inside the frame and and the unit is approx. a half inch thick for storage.
It easily attaches to the support rod of your vise and can be readily adjusted side to side and up and down to fit your comfort level. It will fit on a pedestral or a clamp base. Discarding the waste product is easy as the nylon bag readily releases the cuttings and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Very nice - I highly recommend it.

cheapest possible production. spot weld had broken in transit, so I had to repair when it arrived. However, easy to do, and is perfect for my needs. Once fixed, same as similar products that cost 5x more.
