Cabela's Fly Tying Station

Fly tying is much more pleasant when you don't have to spend half of your time searching for tools, hooks and materials. Our Fly Tying Station lets you spend more time tying and less time looking. This large 11-1/2"L x 8-1/2"W x 3"H wooden station sports receptacles for up to 12 tools. A socket holds your vise securely for tying stability.
A 9-1/4"L x 7-1/2"W x 1-3/4"D drawer stores your most used materials, and three large thread holders hold up to six spools of thread. Three spaces hold round and square bottles. Includes: Professional vise, deluxe scissors, rotating hackle plier, standard bobbin, midge bobbin, whip finisher, dubbing twister, tweezer, bobbin threader, bodkin, hair stacker.

Fly Tying Station

When I received this station I immediately opened it up and was pleasantly surprised. The quality I feel is very good and the tools included exceeded my expitations. I will be using this piece not only for tying flys, but also for repairing religious items and feel it will be a needed extra hand.

Cabelas should not sell this junk. Tools are junk and did not work very well. back of drawer was broken out. Had to fix it myself. Picture looked like Oak this thing is not Oak. Not worth the money.

Not bad, but some of the tools were lacking

The station itself is nice, I like the platform and drawer. I don't use the tool holders as much as i expected, I'll hang scissors or hackle plyers on the thread pegs and might put a needle and bobbin threader in the holes provided for tools at the most.

The vise is decent, nothing fancy but it does come with three jaws you can switch out.

The scissors seemed below quality for fly tying, I kept a pair in the box for cutting thin wire but use a pair I already had that were better.

The hackle plyers were not usable, they didn't grip a hackle at all. I tried to tweak the jaws so they would pinch better but didn't have any luck.

The other tools were about average, my kit did not come with a hair stacker but did have 3 bobbins and 2 pairs of scissors.

I consider it slightly over priced for the included tools but I'm still satisfied overall.
