I purchased this Deluxe Tool Kit along with the Cabelas Material Kit and I have been tying flies ever since. The tool kit has everything you need and the material kit has enough materials to tie numerous flies. I fly fish for trout and warmwater species of fish and together these kits have been an incredible asset to my fishing game. You can tie nymphs, streamers, dries or poppers, of all sizes. Of course you can add to your materials or tools and build your inventory of supplies as you go. The Deluxe tool kit is easily portable, the only word of advice is to be careful when attaching the vise to the pedestal base because you will strip the threads if not careful. Easy to fix though. I love this kit and it is a great investment in a lifetime hobby and a timeless passion. Best of all, you get to catch fish on your own hand tied flies, which is an incredible achievement for any fly fisherman. Plus it saves money too in the long run.

Cheap case and tools, case hinge was broken within a week and the tools are very low quality. Have had it Less than 3 months and ready for new tools.

I purchased this right after I got started fly fishing and decided to start tying my own flies. In the months since then I have already tied near 100 flies of all different types, and I have never felt the need for any extra tools or higher quality tools. My one specific complaint is the bobbin started off way too tight and I had to flex the sides out a bit. Easy 2 minute fix. Overall acceptable quality tools and vice.
This probably has too basic of a vise for an experienced fly tyer to be happy with. But for anyone just looking to get started, or looking to have a cheap backup/travel kit, this is the kit for you.
