The 7-rpm motor of this rotary dryer ensures even drying of epoxy-head flies and rod finishes. motor is powered by

blanks up to 28mm in diameter. Includes wire support arm for rod.
This is a nice portable jig & Fly dryer and doubles as a fine rod dryer for touching up guides on your rods with Epoxy. It looks to last for the Average fisherman and remember to take out the batteries for long term storage. If you're into Monster quantity production or rod building for profit, you should look into something else. A piece of felt from your local Craft shop could be placed on the rod support arm attachment and no worries about any scratching possibilities of your fishing rod.
First of all, the dryer works great, but... As other posters have mentioned the lid for the batteries is as lame as anything Ive ever seen. I just threw it away. My only other complaint is where the on off button is located. When you use it for large flies,(I tie Pike flies). you can barely get your finger on the button without knocking a fly or 2 off. But, I still like it, and would recomend it.
I am a custom rod builder and I purchased this item to use to apply epoxy and as a drying motor. It works even better than I had hoped. The battery life is excellent and, using the included rod support, helps the rods have a professional quality finish. The only reason it does not get 5 out of 5 is due to the fact that it is battery powered only. A plug-in option would be nice. Also, I recommend putting a felt liner on the support to prevent scratching.
