The Hot Pot 2 is an amazing deal. It is one of the simplest melting pots that I have ever used and it has worked flawlessly. I only mold bullets for muzzle loader season so I don't need extremely precise control of the temperature or anything and I can't wait to see how my home-made bullets work on whitetail this season.

I have the older model with the heating coil inside as well. This new model with the external coil works much better and is easier to clean up. It heats quickly and handles well. Great product. What else would you expect from Cabela's.

If you are just pouring a small amount this is a great product. If I am in need of say pouring some sinkers or a couple jigs this works great. Heats quick and as long as you have clean lead will get the job done. If you are intending on pouring 100 jigs or are trying to use dirty lead you should really look at a bottom spout pot.
