The mold works great, get the suggested eyes for perfect fit. If you want less weight, don't fill the mold all the way. You end up with a perfect top and a flat bottom...still track well.

My downrigger weights were lost at sea early this salmon season. I never did see the fish that took it all--probably a great white! Weights are becomming very expensive so I purchased a 10 pound Do-it Downrigger Mold from Cabella's. The price was the best I could find even including shipping. The mold had easy to follow instructions and worked very well the first time. I am now back in business chasing salmon in the Pacific.
