Very handy way to keep track of how much leader you've cut off so far. With the cost of pre-packaged leaders, this will help keep them tapering properly assuming you want to tie tippet. I do.

This is a helpful gadget in determining the thickness of leaders and tippet. It is especially useful when I have extensively used a tapered leader--it's hard to tell how thick the leader has become as I continue to trim off the end when replacing tippet.
It also is a good tester when I don't believe the measurements as listed on a leader or spool of tippet.

This feeler gauge makes leader and tippett sizing easy. The suggested tapered leader line lengths for the different length leaders really rollover well when casting!

In trying to use this, I found that the gauge became stuck at points and then cut my fingers in trying to move it. This same sharp aptitude might well nick, weaken, or actually cut through leader material as well.
