Lyman Outside Neck Turning Tool

The Lyman Outside Neck Turning Tool is a simple-to-operate tool that guarantees neck wall thickness and outside neck diameter. Adjustable cutter removes minimum brass to attain uniformity. Cutter blade can be adjusted to any diameter from .195" to .405". Comes with two extra cutting blades and Mandrel Multipack that will fit calibers .22, .243, .25, .270, 7mm and .30. (Not adaptable with Universal Power Case Trimmer).

Lyman outside neck turner

The neck turner worked fine and is easy to use, but when I tried to remove it from the shaft I found that both set screws were broken and I have been unable to use it again.

Lyman Outside Neck Turner Pack

I am still getting use to this neck turner. I have been reloading for years and starting to get more into accuracy. A lot of reading before purchasing this product and know it will be a benifit to my bench. The more I use it the easier it is to trim brass correctly. The product does exactly as it shoud if I do my part. Gave it a 4 only because I haven't had a chance to use the turned brass at the range to see if it makes a difference.

Another solid product from Lyman

This device works as the company claims. It will remove a lot of material if you are not careful. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a meaningful gauge to tell the thickness of brass being removed. Instead you have to measure cut and measure again then adjust the cutter. Don't be in a hurry when using this and start with old discarded cases to get the feel of it.

Lyman outside neck turner

I've just tryed out this neck turner and I must say it is impresive, I thought my cases could do with a bit of neck straitening but I had no idea that they were so far out of true.
This simple but very acurate attachment to my existing Lyman case trimer has done the job and the finished cut is perfectly smooth. It came with spare cutters but no instructions so it took a few minutes to work out how best to use it, I find it better to not addvance the cutter wheel by hand, instead I just alow it to wind itself up, a little more time but a much better finish.
Sorry to those of you who havn't yet tryed one I'm sure you have no idea what I just described, but trust me it's worth having one of these.
