Not sure the temp is right, but its consistent

I suppose I could calibrate the device but, not having a major lab, I lack the equipment.
The temperature appears to read too high. I get the best results from WW cast bullets at about 750 to 800 on the device.
It is however quite consistent and that works out just fine.

Easy Lead Melting

The first time I used it I had to tap the glass to make the needle move but since that first heat up cycle smooth sailing ever since. No way to verify if the temp is accurate but the lead seems to melt about when the dial says it should and that is close enough for me. Also fits perfectly in my 10 lb bottom pour pot that is also offered at Cabela's.
