I just started using my new Lee Auto Prime. I have one of the older ones with the round primer tray that has worked great for over twenty years. I ordered this one so that my son and I could both be priming at the same time. This new one is much harder to use that the old ones with the round tray. Primers don't turn over as readily as the older one. The cover on the tray is hard to secure. I don't like the way the primers transfer from the tray to the seating ram, they are loose and can be knocked out easily.
I'm going to watch the yard sales and try to find one of the older ones in good condition.

Hand Primer

I have used Lee hand priming tools for years with overall, good results. This model is more comfortable to use than the older version, but certainly no faster, if as fast. The square holder works very well, (better than the older round model) and uses the same shell holders as the older models which is a help. It takes little effort to learn the "feel" of the tool, and I would certainly recommend it and a good tool, and a good buy.
