Hornady® Handheld Priming Tool

The perfect companion to a single-stage reloading press, Its new, one-piece primer tray has an improved lid retention system. Integrated molded primer bushings eliminate the need for separate bushings. An additional tray designed for use with RCBS® type shell holders is included. The seater punch and spring are captured inside the priming tool, allowing shell holders and primer trays to be changed without removing the spring and punch.

Great tool
Date:
Purchased this tool tired of constantly fighrting the auto primer feed. This tool speeds up the process. Primers seat easily and quickly. For the customer who had the problem with the bump every body will have defects. Sounds like it was an easy fix. Plus didn't have to wait for a replacement part.
Wish I had bought this sooner. Another plus it uses the shell holders you already have.

Best I have tried
Date:
I have used the Lee hand priming tool since it was first sold. Originally it was a single primer operation with no tray. For the first time ever the handle broke. Lee no longer makes the old style priming tool. At one point I bought an RCBS priming tool. I did not like it at all, it was too complicated and convoluted. I thought I would try the Hornady tool. I am very impressed! Once you figure out how to put it together it is easy to use and change primer sizes. I loaded some 7-30 Waters cases. It works better than the old Lee tool. The only negative might be you could lose your pin and spring when you change primer size. So far I really like it!
If you liked the old Lee tool you will love this tool.

Mine had defects
Date:
The large priming pin on mine had a sharp bump in the middle that would leave small indentations on the primer, I had to sand it off. The Hornady customer service guy said, "well it looks like the machine wasnt setup right when a bunch of these were made" then instructed me to use the sand paper.
