The reversible ratchet-style construction with locking freewheel feature permits fast hookups at the ramp. Plus, all drive shafts have permanently lubricated bearings for low maintenance. The gears and wheel are arc-welded for superior strength and smooth operation. Heavy-duty steel handles with molded grips. All models are available with or without a 2" nylon strap.

Dutton-Lainson 2000 lb. 2 speed winch

Just received my winch and installed it on my trailer. It easily cranked the boat up to the roller stop. The winch would not lock in place. My son determined that the piece that locks the winch in place was installed wrong. We took it apart and reversed it, and it works fine now. Can't wait to try it on the water.

Dutton'Lainson Marine Trailer Winch

Bought one as a replacement winch for my Ranger bass boat trailer last year. The OEM unit had a much shorter length to the handle making it very hard to wind the trailer on the bunk beds. With more and more launches eliminating drive on I chose to replace the winch with Dutton's. It has a much longer handle giving me more leverage which making winding my boat on to the bunks a snap, even when kneeling from the bow. This is a rugged well made unit that I would recommend to anyone who desires to replace their unit. I'm one happy customer!

This thing is great on my 90 201 stratos and trailer. Does not flex, long handle and good ratio is a major plus. I may have needed to buy a bigger one but this does the job for me. You need to check the clearance from the winch to the bow due to the longer handle.
