This product works exactly as designed. It has already deterred a theft attempt. It's definitely worth the $. Remembe ... an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The guy that rated this product a "1 star" because of the corrosion should try to implement "preventive maintenance". All metal units require/should be lubricated occassionally. Take care of (Maintain) your equipment and it will take care of you.

Don't do it! Buy the cable instead.

These locks corode very easy and when they do they are almost impossible to remove. Took me 1/2 hr and a lot of WD40 to unfreeze the lock. Kept thinking that it was a good thing I wasn't sitting on the side of highway at the time.
