Thread Tensioner

This fully adjustable thread tensioner will not loosen or tighten after adjustment. The smooth chromed polished thread plates won't snag or mar threads. It easily adapts to most rod wrappers, just drill a 3/16" hole.

Difficult to get correct tension without breaking thread. Should be epoxied into jig for stability.

I had always used a home made system until it finally wore out. Purchased one of these and wondered why I hadn't done it sooner. It makes it so much easier to apply the proper tension with no fuss or bother. Did a great job on a recent fly rod I just completed. Love this thing.

Thread Tensioner

Being a professional rod maker, I have a series of tensioners set up on my wrapping board for main wraps, trim wraps.. easy to use and I just could not do without them.
I will share a trick with you,, the instructions call for drilling a hole and inserting the end of the tensioner into it,, I do that and more.. I epoxy the shaft into the hole.. now it will not move or tip over while wrapping...
