wise choice
Date:
I have had this wrapper now for about 5 months and I like it a lot.. I have built two rods so far on it and used both the wrapper and the dryer both work fine and I have no complaints. I have not tried to turn a cork handle yet being that I am fairly new to rod building but thats my next venture. I am sure this machine will be up to the task.

Not so bad
Date:
I bought this wrapper about a year and a half ago after using a home made one for more than 15 years. I find the wrapper does what it says it will do. That is wrap rods and turn cork if desired. The other review notes a wobble in the chuck, which is true. However, with any piece of equipment, one must and should make adjustments. This is not unreasonable. When I bought my wrapper the price was a little less and it was a great deal considering other lathes going for almost $850.00. Properly adjusted this wrapping lathe will perform for years.

no lathe

unit will turn fast enough to lathe cork handles but chuck will not center to stop wobbling. Went to store and tried 7 more units in department and all were out of wack.
Works real good to wrap with but so does a cardboard box.
Really disapointed and would concider it a GREAT product if you could just use it for what it was designed for.
