Great beads, no problem fitting the small ones on size 14 fly hooks (which is about rignt for the nymphs I was tying). Great number of beads too for the money!

Brass Beads
Date:
I've used Cabela's brass beads before and never had any problems with them. However this assortment of beads is almost unuseable. The holes are too small to fit over the barb of a hook. I have a few 5/32 beads left from a previous purchase, and they work just fine, but these do not. I've had to resort to clamping the beads in a vise and drilling out the holes to enlarge them so they will fit on a hook. Although my first use has been the 5/32 beads, I find that the other sizes suffer from a similar problem. Don't bother buying them!
