A Good Purchase

Tried the fly out on the Pecos River, NM and cought some German Browns about 10". I picked up a small mouth bass on the Rio Grand River also. It was about 1#. I'm happy with the fly.

I have used this cricket pattern in the Owens river noth of Bishop, CA and above Crowley Lake in the eastern Sierra's. It is very effective if you can get it down to the bottom quickly. Use weighted line, 5-6 inch sink rate. 20-30 feet. 18" 3X leader. The stronger leader is needed to handle the size and weight of the cricket. The smaller #12 works best. This setup is for 5-6 weight fly rods
