Arrester did stop embers from becoming air born, but also restricted draft. Sooted up rather quickly. Had to pull arrester and clean it just about every day of use..

More of a pipe plug than arrester

Arrester immediately filled with carbon and clogged. The only way we could have a fire was by removing the arrester. I'm returning it because it is useless.

This worked just fine, never had any kind of problem with it restricting the flow of smoke out of the stove. I have been using this for three years now, and have not had a single burn in the roof of my alaknak tent. Last year when packing it away at the end of our deer hunt, one side would no longer fold for super compact storage. No big deal though it still fit inside the stove with all the other parts. Save the roof of your tent use this spark arrestor.
