Star Exploding Targets

Get a bigger bang out of shooting with targets that explode! These consist of two inert components that, when mixed, blow up if impacted by a high-velocity projectile. Easy to mix and use, they won’t go off if dropped or when lit on fire. It usually takes at least a 40-gr. bullet with a velocity of 2,200 fps or more to detonate. Don’t transport or sell mixed components. Mixed components are considered explosive material and local, state and federal explosives regulations apply. Check local laws before ordering.
Available:
  • 1/2 lb. (minimum safe distance 50 yds.)
  • 1 lb. (minimum safe distance 50 yds.)
  • 2-1/2 lbs. (minimum safe distance 50 yds.)
Warning: Federal law allows a person to possess up to 50-lbs of powder , most states have lesser limits on possession amounts. Therefore it’s important not to mix more powder at one time than is allowed by your state or local laws

Failed Miserably
Date:
I followed the instructions to the letter. I placed it out to the proper distance. My AR10 gets 2" headshot groups at 120 yards with a red dot. I fired dead on and it didn't explode. I tried a second time, placing the shot just below the previous one. Still nothing. This was a complete waste of my money. I'll be sticking with Tannerite from now on.

BOOM
Date:
I purchased 2 .5lb and 1 1lb Star Exploding Targets. The 1lb I used to blow up an old broken tv. After the boom the were only tiny pieces of the tv left. Then I used one of the .5lb to destroy a vcr, again a boom and only tiny remains of the unit were left. The final .5lb I used on some old speakers, but this time there was no boom. I think the bullet ricoted off the ground so I think that might have messed up the impact. I gave the product a 4 star rating because 2 of my 3 worked great and gave an awesome show, but I don't know if the 3rd was a dud or shooter error.

Nice Boom
Date:
Not sure if these are the loudest but I've certainly enjoyed using them. I've used the 1 and 2.5 lb, both were fun and exciting. I had no issues mixing the binary components, simple and easy, Add the powder, mix for a minute aim and boom. As much as I spend on ammo and targets I think these are a bargin and great addition for some extra excitment for a day at the range.
