Order this scope after reading the reviews and knowing what the issues were with it. The gun I installed it on is a Bushmaster Dissapater . It installed firmly and easily, however I had some doubts about the quality of the locking mechanism which proved to be well founded. After the third shot the sheet metal locking mechanism broke. Not much of a problem as I don't plan on removing it often. I used a couple of washers to take up the slack and reinstalled it. So it can still be easily removed if I want. The optics are surprisingly clear and while the cross hairs are a little thicker than normal this is not meant to be a target scope. It's meant to get you on target quickly and it works well for that. The BDC is way off. After sighting dead on at 100 yds. I moved out to 200 and with the BDC set at 200 yds it shot 8 inches high so I didn't even attempt it at 300. I simply resighted 2 inches high at 100 and it was right on at 200 and held 8.5 inches high at 300 and was on target.I don't feel this is much of a problem as I have never found a scope in the lower price bracket that is on with their BDC's. The windage adjustments were right on at .70 inches per click but the elevation adjustments were half of that. Still was able to get zeroed rather easily. With my hunting handloads 1 inch groups at 100 yds were the norm, at 200, 2.5 and at 300 they were 4 to5 inches and would probably be better with thinner crosshairs but again it's not a target scope. Over all I'm fairly well satisfied with it for the price. This is the gun that rides in my truck almost daily so it gets some abuse bouncing around. No place for an expensive scope We will see how it holds up. I put 95 rounds thru the gun today and it held it's zero. Only time will tell how it holds up.
I ordered this scope as a replacement for the Leaper's scope I had.
This scope was very easy to install on the carry handle. It was pretty simple to zero in at 25 yards. Moving out to 100 yards, I had to make some adjustments to hit point of aim.
While I only have about 150 rounds through this scope, it's holding the zero and shoots great!
I bought the BARSKA M-16 4x20 Electro Sight Carry Handle Scope based on the reviews I read. But when I received it, I put it on my rifle and the the support screw that holds it to the carry handle snaped after the 3rd turn after it was touching the handle. I sent it back and when I received the replacement, the support screw nipple that stops it from turning from recoil wouldn't lock. So the replacement is being returned due to the item is not what I expected.
